Constructed in the 17th century, Fort Almeida’s star-like layout was a strategic masterpiece, perfect for defense. It’s a silent witness to many historical events, including the War of the Spanish Succession and the Peninsular War. Wandering through its expansive ramparts, I shared with my friends the heroic tales and strategic brilliance that these walls have seen.
Cultural Riches Beyond Battles
